So you want to succeed in the Etsy business? I’m going to answer for you one of the MOST asked questions that I receive: What are TAGS and how the heck do I figure them out??
Let me make this a little less mysterious for ya'll.....
- What are tags?
o Tags are essentially words or short phrases you input into each listing and that guides how your item will be found in a search.
o Etsy limits you to just 13 tags per item and each tag is limited to 20 characters.
o Tags are opportunities to optimize your chance of being found by customers.
o I recommend using a mixture of popular keywords and a few niche keywords.
o You can list your tags when creating or editing an item. Looks for the “Tags” box.
